Kapodistrias Museum, In the Village of Europoulos of Corfu
The Kapodistrias Museum – Center for Kapodistrian Studies, is located in the village of Europouli (European birds),about 7 km W of Corfu town.

The Kapodistrias Museum housed in a space within the Estate "Koukouritsa”, 13 acre, in the country house of the historical estate of the Kapodistrias family (ιδιοκτησίας τους μέχρι το 1980). It was established 1981, along the way it was renovated, and reopened it to the public 2017.

THE Ioannis Kapodistrias was born, grew up and lived, most of his life, in Corfu. He was a Greek doctor, diplomat, politician and held the title of count. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Imperial Russia and First Governor of Greece (January, 1928-September, 1831). He was murdered on 27-9-1831 in Nafplio (55 years), he was buried there, but in April of 1832, his body was carried by his brother Augustino, in Corfu. THE grave of I. Kapodistrias locatedj in I. Platyteras Monastery, in the city of Corfu, beside his father's grave, Count Antoniou-Maria Kapodistrias and at his brother's grave, Augustino.

At the village Europeans, next to the "Kukouritsa" Estate, is the I. Μονή Ευαγγελίστριας Ευρωπούλων, today Μετόχι της Ι. Platyteras Monastery. It was founded between 1746-47, by the hieromonk Chrysanthos Syropoulos, the 1798 was set on fire by the Democratic French and the 1801, after renovation, reopened with a new temple. Due to its proximity to the estate, the Kapodistrias family had a special relationship with the monks (today there is a monk).
