Amorgos – Marriage & christening overlooking the deep blue

Amorgos is an island in the Aegean Sea located in the SE. terminus Cyclades, between Naxos, Koufonissi, Iraklia, Schinoussa and Astypalaia. It has two natural harbors, in West. side Katapola and B. Eghiali. It is an island that impresses the visitor due to relief contrasts, with mountains that rise steeply rocks, in A. the island and spectacular beaches, with deep blue depths, in D..

The highest mountain is Krikelos or Kroukelos(821 m.), Prophet Elias (698 m.) and the White Mountain or Crow (630 m.). The beaches are many, sandy to the west., with deep, clear water. The most famous are the St. Anna, Saint Paul, Mourou, Aegiali beach, Lemvrosos, Beach Katapola, Maltezi, heavenly, Kalotaritsa.

Amorgos is also famous for its numerous trails, Labeled or non, ideal for hiking.

The Amorgos is simple and chaste people, particularly hospitable to visitors. They enjoy life and have fun all year round, the numerous festivals held in celebration of a Saint. Tholaria, in Vigla, you will see the Acropolis of ancient Aegiali, where the region has been the largest sculpture of Cycladic era.

CHURCH OF SAINT ANNA - AGIA ANNA

The small church of St. Anne, perched on the rock, up from the beach is an ideal place to make your church wedding or your child's Baptism. The access, the small chapel, is the path to the left of the parking area, where after releasing the cars will descend to the beach. The island ceremony can be combined with the accompaniment of local musicians, with traditional instruments, which will accompany the couple and their guests at the small trail. Agia Anna beach is 3 km from the town and located below the cliff Chozoviotissa Lady, on the hill of Prophet Elias.
