The Xylokastro is a city in Corinthian Gulf in the distance 1 time from Athens.
Xylokastro - coastal front
Ideal place for a day trip, for Easter, and especially for summer vacations.
It attracts visitors all year round as it is close to the winter destination above and Below Trikala, Corinth on the mountain Ziria (about 25 km) and to Ziria Sports Ski Center (10 km from Ano Trikala).

Agios Vlasios of Xylokastro
THE Saint Vlasios, Archbishop of Sevasti, originally from Asia Minor, is the patron saint of Xylokastro. OR Church of Agios Vlasios, monument, was built 1910. Exterior of the temple, which is large enough (width and height 25 m.), stands out with the two bell towers. celebrated on 11 February with a big religious festival (Town Hall Square).
Opposite the church, on the jetty, the Municipality has built a fountain that is illuminated at night.
After him Agios Vlasios and hotel Arion, over the coastal road Konstantinos Karamanlis, you will find him Pine trees, the aesthetic forest of Xylokastro.
Pefkias- walking routes
by area 243,5 acre, Aleppo pines and wild flowers, is an ideal place for a walk, relaxation, bike, run, Picnic.
The reference point of Xylokastro is Tourist Kiosk «THE REVELIN», bar-restaurant, in Pefkias beach, with tables by the sea.

It used to be its Metochi Monastery of Agios Vlasios Trikala Corinth. She is celebrating Life Giving Fountain, just after Easter, and 15 August in Assumption of Mary. - Monastery of Agios Vlasios, to Ano Trikala, Corinth
Built in 1.400 m. on the mountain Ziria, in the place that according to tradition was found, inside a cave, the image of the Saint (14th c.). In the ledger (17th) the images are of the great painter of the Cretan school (17th), Emmanuel Skordili (1647-1671). Here are kept the miracle worker Picture and Holy Relics of Agios Vlasios. The Monastery is for women and celebrates it Agios Vlasios (11 February) and Holy Cross (14 September), day of finding the Holy Icon (tel. Monastery : 27430 91210).
