Clock Tower Rapsani

War memorial, for victims of Rapsani, when Revolution of Olympus (19-2-1878). Started by Litochoro Pierias and was the reaction of the Greeks of Macedonia against Treaty of San Stefano to create the "Greater Bulgaria". Tour of Daphne – The Divine Ride, in late August. A special cycle route that starts from Tembi Valley Larissa, and source of Laurel, and ends at Delphi. Passes from the Valley of Tempi and not through Rapsani but has enough interest. The route is as follows : Agia Paraskevi Tempe, Annunciation, Makrychori, Larissa, Farsala, Domokos, Ghoul, Gravia, Amfissa, Oracle DELPHI (230 Km, duration, about 9-12 hours).

RAPSANI - ACCESS

Rapsani is from Larissa 47 km, from Athens about 98 km and from Thessaloniki 125 km.

Access is as follows :

from Athena : drive from the Highway 1 (Pathe), exit "node Pyrgetos», the PEO. Athens-Thessaloniki, to Rapsani and Pirgetos. Following Tembi Valley, (2 km) and before ss. Rapsani, turn left, and enter the province. Route Rapsani-Willow, until Rapsani (about 10 km).
from Athena : by train to Larissa and then, the Station, change train and enter the Suburban, Line to Thessaloniki, Stand : ss. Rapsani (information: TRAINOSE). Subsequently, about 10 km, with the shuttle bus or a taxi to get to Rapsani.
from Thessalonica : car after the toll Leptokaria and Tunnel, will take the exit "Platamonas», the PEO to Larissa. Following the sign to "Tempi valley"And after ss.
