This is the winery – olive mill of the Mamidakis family originally from the small rural village Anoskeli Chania. Located in altitude 250 m., very close to Voukolies village (5’), in the SW. of city ​​of Chania, surrounded by olive trees, vines, lemon trees, orange trees.

The Mamidaki brothers left Anoskeli looking for something better in Athens, were educated and in the 1960s founded one of the largest petroleum trading companies in Greece. The Mamidaki family, who never forgot her roots, returned to Anoskeli, he bought the old olive mill of the village and started, amateurish, olive oil production. Today it has one state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, bottling and standardization of olive oil. It is produced Extra Virgin Olive Oil «Barefoot», PDO. Kolymvari of Chania, Koroneiki variety, from conventional and organic crops, multi-awarded, with global distinctions, which is exported to Europe, America, N. Korea, Russia etc. In Greece it is sold in specific super markets (Thanopoulos, Sclavenite).

Alongside, taking advantage of the family vineyards, they created one boutique winery with modern hall tasting and courtyard overlooking the endless olive groves and vineyards of the area. They are produced wines «AGAIN PLAYA" and "ANOPHERIA" and the tsikoudia «UP BELOW" and "Barefoot», double distillation (the well-known Cretan raki).

The Anoskeli winery-olive mill is visitable for guided tour together with tasting, since March – November, Monday - Friday : 10 a.m. – 6 pm. and Saturday : 10 a.m. – 4 pm.
