Old Perithea of Corfu, for authentic Corfu food
Medieval mountain village, built on an elevation 650 m., outdoor Almighty (906 m.), NW. of the city of Corfu.

The Old Perithia Tavern
The history of the tavern starts from 1863 when Nikos Kassaris, coming from America, settled in the village and turned his house into a cafe-tavern. Photographs and old objects from that era decorate the interior. There is also one in the courtyard of "The Old Perithia" tavern Honeysuckle (Southern Celts), a deciduous tree said to be the lotus of the ancient Greeks, and which is found mainly in warm climates but also in S. Europe.

PALA PERITHIA – HONEY & LOCAL PRODUCTS OF CORFU

- OR Old Perithia belongs to Municipality of North Corfu, in N.E. Thinaliou, and is 45 km from the city of Corfu (1 time).
- Interurban KTEL of Corfu, local bus, https://greenbuses.gr, tel. : (+30) 26610 28900, Ave.. Heptanisou, city of Corfu. Itinerary for North Corfu, Perithia-Loutses, from Corfu to Loutses and Perithia via Kassiopi (1time 40'), daily and in winter. There is also a route to Corfu – Cassiopeia – Parithia bypassing the Luces.
The bus will drop you off at entrance of the village and then you should walk about 10'-15' to get to the taverns as it is difficult to access for large vehicles.
